Isabel · Kaia:I usually work in a very quiet architecture studio in Lisbon. Right now, though, I'm sitting in Gateway Café with a lot of noise around me, because our office is being repainted this week. I don't normally work in cafés — I hate the noise. But this week I'm learning that I can concentrate almost anywhere.

Victor · Marcus:I'm a maths teacher back in Manchester. Normally I teach Monday to Friday. This month, though, I'm not teaching at all — I'm travelling around Portugal with my brother. Right now I'm doing all the things I don't usually do, and I love it, although I miss my classroom a little.

Anya · Zaina:I'm a paediatric nurse. I normally work twelve-hour shifts and sleep like the dead on my days off. But I'm not working this week — I'm flying home to see my mother, who's just had surgery. Right now I just want to sit with her and drink some bad tea.
