We point at things: near or far, one or more than one.

Rules & form
- ›Near: this (one) · these (more than one).
- ›Far: that (one) · those (more than one).
- ›They work alone or with a noun: This is new. / This chair is new.
- ›On the phone: This is Ana. Is that Mr Silva?
Examples
- “This coffee is amazing.”
- “Those buildings over there are new.”
- “Are these your documents?”
Watch out · these = plural of this; those = plural of that.

- ›For things, prefer of: the name of the company.
Examples
- “That's Pedro's brother.”
- “The students' books are on the table.”
- “Whose keys are these?”
Watch out · Whose (owner) is not who's (= who is).
