Case Study 5 · Cerâmica Vista Ria

Duration: 30 min

Warm-up

Warm-up · Prime the case (5 min, solo)

Two quick drills that use language from Unit 5: (A) present perfect vs past simple, and (B) a shipping-status update with 'just / already / yet / for / since'.

Drill 1 — Trip or experience?

Read each situation. Write ONE sentence in the correct tense (present perfect for experience, past simple for a finished time).

  1. Trip: Amsterdam · when: last October · verb: fly

  2. Life experience: no pallet ever broken in transit · verb: break

  3. Career total: 3 different carriers used · verb: work with

Drill 2 — Status update

Rewrite each internal note as a polite external update using 'just / already / yet / for / since'.

  1. Container arrived at Rotterdam 4 days ago, still at customs.

  2. Driver left the workshop 2 minutes ago.

  3. Order still not shipped.

Bridge to the case → Two moves the case will demand: (a) a clear comparison of three shipping options; (b) a polite, honest customer update when the first Nordic order is running late.
