An activity in progress over a period up to now.

Rules & form
- ›have / has been + verb-ing.
- ›Focus on the activity and its duration, not the result.
- ›Common with for, since, all day, lately.
- ›Not used with state verbs.
Examples
- “I've been working on this proposal all week.”
- “She's been travelling a lot lately.”
- “They've been waiting for an answer since Monday.”
Watch out · Result → simple (I've written three emails). Activity → continuous.
